Taleturn is a small game made by one person. This page says plainly what we keep and why. Questions go to the address at the bottom.
Guest accounts
You can play without an email or a password. The app creates an anonymous guest account for you. If you later sign in with Google or Apple, that sign-in is linked to the same account so your tales and heroes stay with you.
What we store
Your adventures: the hero you made, the story text, your choices, dice results, your journal and your progress. We keep them in our database so a tale can continue days later and the story can remember what you did. If you sign in, we also keep the email address or ID the sign-in provider gives us.
The AI
The story is written by Google Gemini. What you type and the recent story are sent from our server to Gemini to produce the next scene. The key for that service lives only on our servers and is never on your device or in the app.
Usage data
To fix bugs and improve the game we record anonymous events such as screens opened, buttons pressed and errors, together with the platform, app version and device model. These events never contain story text. You can switch this off in Settings under Share usage data. Raw events are kept for 180 days.
What we do not do
We do not sell your data and we do not show ads. We do not use your story text to train models. Purchases, if they ever exist, are handled by Apple or Google, and we never see your card details.
Your choices
You can ask us to delete your account and everything linked to it, or to send you a copy, by writing to the address below. We reply within a reasonable time.
